ABOUT ME

My name is Marta and I am a hitch-hiker. That’s a hobby, lifestyle, philosophy. Yes and it sounds a little better than a plain “traveler”. Actually, it is much better. Being a hitch-hiker allows you to travel wherever you want to and meet great people as a bonus. Not mentioning, that it is a huge experience. 

Because of the need to share these  special moments of my journey with you, I decided to create a blog. I started to write it the same day I hit the road. (currently working on a complete translation from Slovak) Through Hitch-hiker's diary I would like to show you, that you don't need to be a billionaire to travel the world.

I am a solo traveler. Lots of people consider it to be crazy. And dangerous. Well, I am not going to argue about that one. However, what is completely safe ? I support a principle "you get what you give" and I believe that world is dark only when you are looking at it from the wrong angle. When you accept the people around you and their differences, you will be accepted. No matter your height, age or gender. I am going to prove that. 

If you want to truly know someone, ask him what are his dreams. Because doesn't really matter where is he from, more important is where is he going. What are his goals. 

I want to became a traveler. A real one. To travel for living. I want to see the world and understand it. Talk to the people. I want to visit Bhután and Thailand and make a documentary about the Elephants. Just because elephants are (right after the people) the best creatures ever. 

When talking about author of this blog, I would like to mention one more person. Someone, who always have time to read through my posts before the rest of the readers can even see it. Someone who has a patience to correct my endless mistakes. Thank you Kity Geletová.
